Studying Myxomycetes since 2000. His herbarium counts to date more than 3300 samples collected in France, especially nivicolous myxomycetes, and in different countries. He takes micro and macro photos of these organisms, which are used in various publications around the world. He has participated in International days of research and study of the nivicolous species of Myxomycetes organised each year in France and Italy. A. Michaud study myxomycetes in isolated tropical islands, such as La Réunion, Maldives, Seychelles, La Martinique. The results of this research are presented at international congresses on myxomycetes which took place in Belgium, Mexico, Ukraine and China.
